In 2020, Jason Ray of Annalee Dolls reached out to PaladinID for help in upgrading their label printing system. They were using an outdated Intermec label printer and desperately needed to switch to a printer that could offer faster printing speeds and better print resolution for their pricing tags.
Annalee Dolls is a company based in Meredith, NH that produces dolls and decorations. The story behind Annalee Dolls is quite interesting. The company was named after its founder, Annalee, who started making dolls as a hobby during her teenage years. In the mid-1950s, Annalee and her husband, Charles “Chip” Thorndike, decided to turn her hobby into a business.
We knew they needed a solution to handle their unique paperweight and printing process. Knowing they were using a 7pt card stock coated on one side with a hand tag hole along. PaladinID identified the Honeywell label printer as a huge upgrade to the old Intermec they were using before. We were then able to show them how to pre-print the front of the tag (pictured on the right) and included a timing mark so the tags keep the variable data in alignment on the variable print side.
The end result? Annalee got exactly the outcome they were looking for a more streamlined system and more modern hardware and process. They are thrilled with their newer system, and it has been working flawlessly throughout the years, especially during their busy season.
