2023 Year End Review

As 2023 comes to a close, I wanted to thank my customers for letting PaladinID be part of their success. I know I am in the label business, but getting to know my customers and the various industries they are in, I feel like I am part of their team. It is exciting to see how many different companies use labels to solve problems. Labels are everywhere and a big part of 95% of the businesses out there. My day is never boring and I thank you for that.

We are still staying the course, true to our roots and growing our business with the number one belief that companies need help with putting all of the label pieces together for a efficient operation. As we look forward to 2024 I have been asked to give my thoughts on the label industry and predict where it is going. The label industry is strong and growing. The main driver is thermal transfer, but I see that inkjet is starting to take hold and will continue to grow rapidly. Companies are seeing the benefit of utilizing color in their work flow and all of its advantages. The big driver behind this is the Epson Colorworks line of inkjet printers. This allows color on demand that has never been available before. With the lower cost of these printers, easy integration into existing applications, the market is slowly shifting to on-demand color labels. Even the price of adding color is very competitive to pre-printed thermal transfer labels.
