Industrial: These printers are used in high-volume applications and use labels with a 3” core and 8” OD (Outside diameter)
Desktop: These printers are used when the volumes are low to medium and space is an issue. The label cores are 1” x 2” and the OD (Outside diameter) of the labels is 4” to 5”.
These Epson inkjet label printers come in two basic sizes, a 4” and 8.5” widths. Most companies opt for the 4” width, but if your application calls for a wider label, you will need to purchase the 8.5” printer.
There are two types of ink Gloss and Matte that work in the Epson printers. Each one has there own pros and cons. It will ultimately depend on the label material you are using. By selecting the correct ink formulation, you have the best chance of a clear crisp label everytime.
