The Ink Jet chemical drum label printer is now available from Primera. Starting in October 2014, Primera is going to release their new line of inks for the GHS compliance requirements. These inks will be more resistant to chemicals and abrasion. There are several label stocks that have passed the rigorous tests and that have been approved for this printer. We are excited to have this cost effective printer for this application. This printer is designed to print low to mid label quantities a day. Problem: A customer needed to add color to their chemical drum labels, but did not want to stock pre-printed labels. The volumes in total were very low with 15 different label formats.
Solution: We suggested the CX1000 from Primera, but after looking at their total label purchases, we recommended the LX900 with the new line of inks. The printer was 25% the cost of the laser printer and the LX900 did everything the customer needed it to do.
